A local search is a buying signal.
Many local businesses put up a website so they could be found. After all, 70% of desktop searches with a local focus result in an action in the next month. Not surprising.
Did you know that a local search on a mobile device leads to an action within the next hour?
Some business owners cry out, “My customers already know I’m here!” But what about the travelers and passersby. What about the casual visitor, or someone who has grown into needing your service or product?
If nothing else, spend one hour a week for the next few weeks on building up one local page for your business. Whether you use the service or not is beside the point of this exercise. Your customers and prospects might be using it (and looking for a business like yours). A few places to start:
- Facebook Pages
- Google Plus Local
- Merchant Circle
Want more phone calls? More walk-ins? More leads? Put a bit of focus on mobile. They could be looking for you. Within the next hour.
