Farmers Leave Some Stalk If you ever drive the highways and byways of the Midwest in winter, you're likely to see some of the corn fields looking unfinished. A strip of corn stalks seemingly ignored.
Actually, this is done purposefully. Smart farmers will leave a strip of corn for the wildlife so they have some winter nibblings (take care of the land, and she will take care of you). But it also helps keep the ground rich and moist during the winter, helping battle wind and and keeping residue in place.
Community Cultivators Leave Some Talk
As you cultivate community, are you leaving some of the talk to your community and folks who stumble across your site?
If you say it all and everything there is to say you leave no room or reason for anyone else to chime in.
Be comfortable with leaving some vacancy in your thoughtful post. Let someone else "grab a bite" and you'll probably find a richer conversation.

I hear it from a lot of business owners: “Where is the ROI with all this Social Media?“ If this is a question you ask yourself, maybe we should work together a bit more. We can work together solo, or via a professional learning community. Find and increase your ROI. There is a “there” there.
