Storyboarding My Presentation for Highlight Midwest

I've shared how important I think storyboarding is to both your presentatiions and your blogging.

Here is a few images this morning as I prepared my presentation for tomorrow's Highlight Midwest event (I'm on at 10:45 prompt!)

The storyboard acts as your compass for both you and your audience. (Click to enlarge the images below)

Start with a scratch pad and 16-20 squares (top left).

Fill out each square with either a short sentence or napkin-drawing for the image I'll need.

Work with image sites and power point to place images in the presentation

Drop in Text Boxes where appropriate (sometimes, I don't use ANY text on a slide)

This took me about 45-minutes start-to-finish.

Don't Shortcut the Storyboard
