Storyboarding My Presentation for Highlight Midwest

I've shared how important I think storyboarding is to both your presentatiions and your blogging.

Here is a few images this morning as I prepared my presentation for tomorrow's Highlight Midwest event (I'm on at 10:45 prompt!)

The storyboard acts as your compass for both you and your audience. (Click to enlarge the images below)

  1. Start with a scratch pad and 16-20 squares (top left).
  2. Fill out each square with either a short sentence or napkin-drawing for the image I'll need.
  3. Work with image sites and power point to place images in the presentation
  4. Drop in Text Boxes where appropriate (sometimes, I don't use ANY text on a slide)

This took me about 45-minutes start-to-finish.

Find Your Social Media ROI

I hear it from a lot of business owners: “Where is the ROI with all this Social Media?“ If this is a question you ask yourself, maybe we should work together a bit more. We can work together solo, or via a professional learning community. Find and increase your ROI. There is a “there” there.
