Somewhere along the way, the word "But" has become almost as commonplace in our vernacular as a comma.
"I understand what your saying, but…"
"I think you're doing terrific, but there's just one thing…"
"Sounds like a great idea, but we…"
"Here's a compliment first, but what I'm really going to say…."
Who started this trend? Peter Gammons (go ahead, count 'em)?
This happens a lot when fear gets mixed in with lack of understanding. Fear of criticism. Fear of Control Loss. Misunderstanding of purpose or use. Stir 'em together? But Soup.
So get the "But" outta your head…or your head will remain in your — well, you get the idea.

I hear it from a lot of business owners: “Where is the ROI with all this Social Media?“ If this is a question you ask yourself, maybe we should work together a bit more. We can work together solo, or via a professional learning community. Find and increase your ROI. There is a “there” there.
