When the Lights Go On, We Move Forward

They want to know. Everything from start to finish. Right there during the first meeting

Lightbulb_1I’m not complaining – I dig LOVE the questions, the thirst to know…the child-like curiosity of a new journey

Still, there is a responsibility I have as the coach to structure the learning process (but just a bit – ’cause everyone is different) People have asked for an outline of what each session will cover. Sorry, not going to happen (’cause everyone learns differently). I don’t do cookie-cutter coaching.

Our next session depends on what we covered this session – and how you do on your homework (benchmarks of successful learning)

It’s all in the eyes. When I get the glassy-eyed look, we stop for that session.  When I see light bulbs go on (the eyes brighten and the face forms a smile), then we move forward.

Our sessions are about the conversation and engagement with your audience.  How, why, when, where, who, what, if…and every once in awhile we’re going to have a ‘huh?’ That’s okay, because usually a ‘huh?’ precedes an ‘aha!’

Find Your Social Media ROI

I hear it from a lot of business owners: “Where is the ROI with all this Social Media?“ If this is a question you ask yourself, maybe we should work together a bit more. We can work together solo, or via a professional learning community. Find and increase your ROI. There is a “there” there.

    “…structure the learning process…” “…cookie-cutter”…
Wow, does this post hit home for me!
If I could just come up with a “cookie-cutter” process for every film I produced for an organization, I’d be a millionaire!
Sure, there is a “tree-top” structure in creating a film.
But, really, discovering a story for the screen is a bit like going on an excursion; there’s a tremendous sense of excitement, butterflies, anticipation and total wonder as to what’s around the corner!
    But you’re right…the “A-ha” makes the magic!
Thanks for reading my mind :-)

Hey Director Tom! Thanks for having a mind worth reading. The discovery is great for both the artist and audience. The best “side” is often the in-side. And that’s what we dig for, yes?
