The Back of Your Blog Baseball Card

MovingLabs is playing host to Xinu, a tool that quickly gives a smörgåsbord of rankings and numbers for your website or blog.

I know several folks say they don’t care about this kind of stuff, but it’s a way to track your numbers and improvement. Think of it as your blog baseball card — and if that’s too weekendy — your blog balance sheet.

Here’s a screenshot at mine (click to enlarge):

Find Your Social Media ROI

I hear it from a lot of business owners: “Where is the ROI with all this Social Media?“ If this is a question you ask yourself, maybe we should work together a bit more. We can work together solo, or via a professional learning community. Find and increase your ROI. There is a “there” there.

Thanks for the update, Mike. I find tools like this always spark a bit of thought, investigation, and usually a tweak.

Mike, I never can resist clicking on something like that! Gave it a try and it pointed to a few quick and easy things that I could improve (and have done) – so thanks for the tip.
Not sure what I need to do for my page rankings though – to be honest I don’t really understand how it works – I’m findable enough I think, but it doesn’t seem to translate into rankings. Is there a back post you could point to on this? Or a new one you’re ready to write…?!
    Thanks as always
    Joanna

    Mike,
Thank you for the kind words and for this valuable tool. With a lot of these statistic tools they give you an option of adding paid ads after your stats increase. As I continue to discover more blog sites I am finding myself more irritated with Google ads imbedded within the posts. What is your opinion on having Google ads around or in the posts themselves?

Mike, I did it (Xinu) and it is pretty cool. Now where can I go for an explaination of what it means?

I hadn’t seen that one before. I have been using the tools at iwebtool, and websitegrader helped me correct some of the clumsy things I had done to hurt how Google sees me.

I remember this! This is a classic. An oldie but a goodie for sure.
