Looking for Mr. (Marketing) Toolbar?

Is there a great marketing/PR toolbar out there?  I know of some that are bookmarks to other sites…but something that gives the numbers at the click of a button?

For the last few months, I’ve employed the SEO for Firefox plugin as a marketing research tool. It’s become one I rely on because so much information is available with a single click.

While some may use it to search, I use the right-click feature far more often. If I’m on a blog or website, I simply right click and choose SEO Firefox>Lookup This Page and I get a peek at several statistics related to that site:

A closer look at what’s in that stats box:

This becomes a big help in determining influence of voice if I’m looking for bloggers or lack of reach if a client and I are looking at their site.

Now that Google and Feedburner are family, I’d love to see a Feedburner count added to this tool. Though maybe that’s something for the Google Toolbar folks. Discover the Feedburner ID and create the count:

Anyway, back to the SEO for Firefox tool…

Another way I use the tool is during a search, I’ll right click on a blog address to see whether it is worth the click-through:

Newgiglink

See how I can "Lookup This Link"?  I’d get the same stats box as above, but without actually visiting the page. Big time saver!

There’s more to this tool than I’ve shared here.  Anyone looking to create or listen to conversations with their target audience or the fringe would do well to employ this tool.

Are there others?  Something that combines the world of Alexa, Google and other toolbar plugins?

Thanks to the for turning me onto this tool in a previous comment.

Find Your Social Media ROI

I hear it from a lot of business owners: “Where is the ROI with all this Social Media?“ If this is a question you ask yourself, maybe we should work together a bit more. We can work together solo, or via a professional learning community. Find and increase your ROI. There is a “there” there.

Mike, I use the SearchStatus plugin (which I see from your screen shot you do to :) )
It doesn’t give all the info that SEO for FireFox does. But it covers most of what a more casual user would want. And it isn’t as likely to get someone into trouble if they don’t know what they are doing.

Hey Chris – Another great tool! Especially for a quick lookup on WHOIS or meta tags. Sure makes things easy with tools like these, hmm?

And PageRank. And backwards links. And Alexa info…
Yep. It sure is easy to find out a ton about a site. :)
