Blog Your Help Wanted Openings

Helpwanted
We talk a lot about how companies can use blogs to engage with their customers and prospects, promote events and specials, and use other media like YouTube and Scribd to repurpose valuable content.

One other type of post is a help wanted article. Please don’t think of this is as simply a help wanted ad in the classifieds, because it can be more than that. It’s similar to asking your professional network if they know anyone that can fill the job.

Here’s a post by the Durbin Media Group seeking a HTML/CSS Developer in Missouri.  Love the "Not-Required" section.  Because I read their site and sense that it’s a great place to work, I emailed the article to a couple folks I know that might fit the bill.

Of course, they could always fall back on PSD2HTML, which I’ve done with great results.

Find Your Social Media ROI

I hear it from a lot of business owners: “Where is the ROI with all this Social Media?“ If this is a question you ask yourself, maybe we should work together a bit more. We can work together solo, or via a professional learning community. Find and increase your ROI. There is a “there” there.

Thanks for the notice Mike. In my former life, I was a recruiter, so I can’t stand the boring job descriptions.
In one of my other blogs, Stlrecruiting.com, several placements have been made from people posting real, live jobs. Candidates respond better, as they are more likely to trust that a blog will get you direct contact than applying online to a huge database.
    And they’re right about that.
