Dig Deep to Find Gems
Story goes that a guy wins a dead-end gold mine in a poker game. He works at his mine for a few weeks and finds just a few nuggets (signal) amidst a bunch of rock (noise).
It's taking too much time. He's tired of digging. He trades in the mine for a new color TV (okay, I'm tweaking the story a bit). The new owner of the mine takes a pick, digs a bit deeper...and uncovers riches never imagined.
Sometimes you find a post or a link, and inside your brain or gut you're cheering to yourself (or out loud): "I love how the blogosphere affects my thinking!"
But don't stop with just the post. Follow the links, read the comments and find some gems:

A portion of Valeria Maltoni's comment:
"The collective becomes personal and the personal is adopted collectively. Having developed a business network through a social medium online for almost 7 years, I can tell how much the work, the interactions, the lessons changed me -- and for the better."
