Quick Thoughts Behind the Wheel

On the road a lot this week, watching the sky change colors through the day, how geese fly in tandem…and how drivers navigate their space. Interesting stuff…

  • Are businesses stuck in cruise control? I know some drivers that use cruise control hate it when they need to shut it off. But, things change in business – and while driving.
  • When geese are in formation, the leader is the one working hardest. Eventually, everyone takes on the role of the leader. It’s a team effort. If one goose doesn’t give up leadership (ownership?) at some point, they’ll tire out. What good would that do?
  • Is perfectionism driven by the desire to succeed or the fear of failure? A show of strength or a signal of protecting a weakness? I gotta wonder sometimes.
  • One of these days, I’m going to sit and devour Andy Beard’s blog. I’ve only recently started reading – lots to catch up on.
  • The MarketingProfs DailyFix now has a book club for marketing pros. Count me in! First up is the new Citizen Marketers by Ben and Jackie.
  • Why do I do short little posts like these, or Quotes n Notes, or Whistle Stops? We’ll save that one for later.

I hear it from a lot of business owners: “Where is the ROI with all this Social Media?“ If this is a question you ask yourself, maybe we should work together a bit more. We can work together solo, or via a professional learning community. Find and increase your ROI. There is a “there” there.
