Let Me Share “Do More”

I’d love to share with you the videos and viral (?) campaign started by the Greater Des Moines Partnership – but they won’t let me don’t make it easy.

I’d love to be able to embed the videos and sticky notes right into this post or sidebar so you could get a glimpse of the city I call home – but they won’t let me. don’t make it easy.

All I can do is send the traffic to the GDMP site. So please, visit the GDMP site to see the Fun Video Clips or E-Postcards and share them on your site – if you can.

Disclosure: I’m a member of this organization. I’m fond of the group of people I’ve worked with on different projects. Who is making the decisions on this un-viral campaign?

Make it easy for users to spread your story. The destination is Des Moines, not the GDMP.

I did find this on YouTube:

Find Your Social Media ROI

I hear it from a lot of business owners: “Where is the ROI with all this Social Media?“ If this is a question you ask yourself, maybe we should work together a bit more. We can work together solo, or via a professional learning community. Find and increase your ROI. There is a “there” there.

I’ve been hearing about the new campaign, that’s the first video clip I’ve seen though. Do you carry your lightsaber with you everywhere? I know I do!

No lightsaber on my belt. Maybe for Christmas? I’m more like the guy with the coffee – though I always use a cup instead of the whole pot.

I’d like someone such as a US Rodeo Supply have a chance to post a bull ride on the GDMP site.
I realize they are physically located outside the Golden Circle, but wouldn’t that be an interesting way to show you can add value to small businesses?
Who knows? You may even get businesses from outside of Iowa to move in…
    Or…
The GDMP could steal the Sioux City Chambers idea of reaching out to non-members in hopes of growing the organization.
    Let’s start thinking creatively.

Now I know what to ask for Christmas… This is such a great clip! I love seeing Des Moines keeping up with the rest of the big cities, yet being so different!

Thanks for sharing that great clip!

Susan & Chris – The video is pretty cool – and I’m sure more are on the way. I look forward to sharing them(?)

Of course you don’t carry your light saber! You carry a baguette!!!! (those whole wheat baguettes can pack a nasty wallop in experienced hands!)

    Mike,
Thanks for the plug of the campaign! We appreciate it very much. We’d love to share the new campaign deliverables with you, and would love for you to use them wherever you’d like.
As I’ve admitted, we’re still learning and would be glad to change the videos and others to be more easily shared. . .we’ll just need to learn how we need to do that.
Thanks again for pushing us, and helping us learn!

    Hi Amanda,
Thanks for your comment. You’re engagement is proof positive that your team is indeed getting it. Together – we are smarter than any one of us are alone.
