Where’s Teddy? Fun at the Maine Stay Inn

Mainestayteddy While searching for hotel blogs today, I ran across the Maine Stay Inn blog. One of the categories is Let’s Have Some Fun – and they all involve Teddy.

Unlike a few other hotel blogs, they add value for their guests by offering tips on what’s going on in Kennebunkport – not just stuff about the Inn. And the blog isn’t simply a sidebar to their Internet presence – it’s highlighted right as you walk into their front page.

Along with the Isle of Eriska and the Opus Hotel, this is among my favorites in the accommodations arena. Ones that I can point to as an example.

I was surprised to see Marriott property, Fairfield Inn & Suites in Chicago with a blog, though it could be more active and follow some of the examples above.

Two industry sites I’ll start to follow are Hotel Blogs by Guillaume Thevenot and Hotel Chatter by SFO Media. Hotel Chatter runs a Hotel Blog Watch which is a great resource.

Part of the reason for my search is that the Blogroll page is about to change. As more businesses begin blogging, I’ll maintain a separate blogroll for those, using them as examples for clients and prospects.

If you know of any Hotel, Motel…Bed & Breakfast Inn blogs, please let me know.

    Hi
I am looking everywhere for blogs written by bed and breakfast owners that are not advertisements. I have linked to the Maine stay blog but he is kind of an advertisement flavour (too much stuff about how great his location is) but it is a narrow fence to sit between a real personal blog and still promote your business. Recently I found a great one in France http://www.chateaudejonvilliers.com/blog.htm
Of course don’t forget about http://myblog.rainforestinn.com where I am trying to get across what it is like to own a bed and breakfast.
