Another month falls to the past, soon we’ll be raking leaves into a mound
The first of the month is BlogTipping Day, here’s three I’m gald I found.
BlogTip #1: Golden Practices
Author: Michelle Golden, President & CEO of Golden Marketing
- A great smile quickly invites us to start reading
- The tagline, along with the categories at the top, quickly tell us what this blog is about
- The content is – well – Golden. Throw away your kitchen timer and get lost in the archives. Great stuff!
Tip: This site fantastic, and it’s hard to find a tip. In fact, I think Michelle could give me some tips. But here’s one that may help: Typepad Titles as Hyperlinks.
BlogTip #2: Flooring the Customer
Author: C.B. Whittmore, Director – In-store Innovation, Solutia Wear-Dated Carpet Fiber.
- Great title! Follows the promise of her tagline with great content
- The content is engaging, educating, AND it’s personable. Wonderful storytelling
- Extends the conversation outward. Generous outbound links and invites to guest articles
Tip: Allow anonymous comments. Right now, only those using the Blogger platform can comment.
BlogTip #3: Mine Your Own Business
Author: BlogMaster (?) at Tacony Corporation
- Clean design, banner tells me what they do – and if I miss that, the Business Units listing leads me to their core
- Always focusing on the customer
- Though I’m not a big fan of Mission Statements, this one’s a keeper
Tip: Who is the Blog Master (author of the posts)? At some point, if RELATIONSHIPS are as important as stated, your audience will want to know. Otherwise, we’ll wonder if it’s just another ghost writer.

Find Your Social Media ROI
I hear it from a lot of business owners: “Where is the ROI with all this Social Media?“ If this is a question you ask yourself, maybe we should work together a bit more. We can work together solo, or via a professional learning community. Find and increase your ROI. There is a “there” there.
