Fortune 500 Blog Project Wants You

Easton Ellsworth and Teresa Valdez Klein are overseeing the herculean task of Fortune 500 Blog Project.

The project is asking for volunteers to research one of these companies and their blog efforts, then post them on your site. I like this idea:

  • Become part of a community studying business blogs. I’ve seen the names of some that have already signed up. It’s a knowledgeable group that’s going to make sure this project is a winner.
  • Give and receive some linkage and readership. If anything, I’m sure we’ll see Easton and Teresa pointing people to your research.
  • Practice thinking like a CEO or CCO. If the F500 company you choose isn’t blogging, your research might help them start. And you might find yourself with a new title: Blog Coach.

I haven’t chosen a company to research yet, though I plan on doing so. I’m either coaching or in negotiations with three on the list – and it won’t be any of those. Too bad Panera isn’t on the list.

As this project is sure to be a success for everyone involved, maybe it will lead to next year’s project being the Inc. 500 (fastest-growing private companies) or the Fast 50.

Find Your Social Media ROI

I hear it from a lot of business owners: “Where is the ROI with all this Social Media?“ If this is a question you ask yourself, maybe we should work together a bit more. We can work together solo, or via a professional learning community. Find and increase your ROI. There is a “there” there.
