The Un-Consultant

There are probably as many opinions as to how Conultants differ from Coaches as there are consultants and coaches.

Here’s one that keeps me pointing towards "Coach" when explaining what I do:

A Consultant will make recommendations on how to get things done and reach your goals, often times following up in getting it done for you. They’ll do whatever it takes to keep you happy as a client so the business relationship continues.

A Coach will equip you with the tools, strategies and motivation to allow you to reach your goals on your own, supporting you along the way. While the business relationship may end, the personal relationship endures.

Why do I prefer "coach" over "consultant?" If you become un-coachable, I’ll invite you to become an un-client. We’ll still be friends, though:-)
