Brand Your Feed

I’ve been fortunate to find two of my posts highlighted on the FeedBurner home page and Publisher Buzz over the weekend. A pleasant surprise…but there’s (at least) one more tip to share. Brand Your Feed.

If you’re blogging for a business or as a business, your blog is part of a brand. My friend Mike Wagner says that "a brand is a mark of ownership." We’ll use Mike’s blog/feed at OwnYourBrand to show how you should Brand Your Feed with FeedBurner.

The brand of White Rabbit Group is now associated with the blog – which it should be since it’s a business blog. Here’s how it’s done…

Sign on to your FeedBurner account and go the the Optimize tab. On the left nav, choose Feed Image Burner. Here…a picture will do better…

The image won’t re-size itself, so save an image to upload. Size?  I wouldn’t go much larger than 220×80.

Find Your Social Media ROI

I hear it from a lot of business owners: “Where is the ROI with all this Social Media?“ If this is a question you ask yourself, maybe we should work together a bit more. We can work together solo, or via a professional learning community. Find and increase your ROI. There is a “there” there.

    Feedburner suggests using an image of dimensions NOT more than 144*144px. Quoting them,
    “If you provide your own image, it is recommended to be no more than 144 pixels tall or wide.”
