Game of Tag?

Cutting to the quick: Using tags increases findability. I normally use Technorati, but in the past have used del.icio.us and gada.be as well.

Here are some great posts to aide us in easily discovering the why and how.

If you’re like me, I don’t want to learn code. It’s one of the reasons I didn’t tag that much at the beginning. Yet, I found by using tags, traffic increased.

By using the ICE Tag Generator it’s a simple process now. Normally, I just use the tool for Technorati tags, but on this post I’ll also use del.icio.us tags. Let’s time it – ready…go:

Technorati Tags: , , , gada.be,

Del.icio.us Tags: , , del.icio.us, gada.be,

Under three minutes. Just copy and paste. Tag – You’re It!

Find Your Social Media ROI

I hear it from a lot of business owners: “Where is the ROI with all this Social Media?“ If this is a question you ask yourself, maybe we should work together a bit more. We can work together solo, or via a professional learning community. Find and increase your ROI. There is a “there” there.

That’s a pretty slick tool. However, a more elegant solution would automatically create the tags on the fly in TypePad. I’m not sure if that kind of enhancement can be done to a typepad blog, but if so, that eliminates the extra time, makes the tagging completely consistent, and would add tags automatically to archived posts.

You’re right, Ed – and I love shortcuts/ I believe that Performancing for Firefox allows for tags on the fly, as do Ecto and some other blog writing/editing tools.
I haven’t got in the habit of using those because there’s not as much control of the tools.
I know there must be plugins available – I haven’t found them yet. Let me know if you find one.
